Jalori pass connects the Tirthan valley and the Satluj valley with a road. Or you could say that it is a shortcut way between Kullu and Shimla. The distance between Jibhi and Jalori pass is 12 km and it will take you around 40 minutes to reach.
Nevertheless, the pass being above 3000 m height, the snow blocks it every winter.
If you like going for a day hike on snow, winter could be a great time to go.
A high mountain pass, the Jalori pass height is at an altitude of 10,282 ft and is a must trip for every adventure lover
A vehicle can take you up to the pass or up to where the road is blocked depending on the snow conditions. Then you continue on foot.
There is no accommodation facilities at the Jalori pass. Some people have started offering camping facilities near the pass, but their facility and location is not really good.
However their are small shops that offers basic necessities and food.
One can visit the Kali Mata Mandir which is situated at the Jalori Pass.
Jalori Pass is also a base for a day hike to Raghupur Fort or Serolsar Lake. One can trek for around 3 Kms to reach the fort and around 6 Km's to reach the Serolsar Lake, Initially, the path is jeepable and is almost flat. Thereafter the trail gets narrower and it starts going slightly down through a beautifull forest of Golden oaks. Then it continues going upward but gently up to the Serolsar lake.
